All He wants is you!

Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord. Ephesians 5 : 19

Good morning, friends. I got the following from the Internet and it does mean a lot indeed!

Once, a talented young singer sang this psalm in a melodious voice before a large audience. After the performance, there was a loud applause. The people praised the singer’s skill and clapped their hands in appreciation. Then the arrogant singer challenged the listeners to come to the stage and recite the psalm more impressively. He offered a precious prize to anyone who could surpass him in musical skill.

There was a brief silence. Then a very old man slowly moved to the front using a walking stick. He meditated for a moment and recited the same psalm from the depth of his heart, displaying deep and sincere sentiments which touched the hearts of every listener. Tears rolled down from his closed eyes and soon the audience was filled with the Holy Spirit. When he stopped the recital, the spellbound listeners spontaneously raised their hands to praise the Lord – the Good Shepherd - who was presented before them vividly by the impressive recital.

The first singer fell down at the feet of the old man, crying and apologizing for his arrogance. He declared aloud to the large gathering, “I am really sorry. I boasted that I knew the psalm and its music. But here is one who knows the Shepherd Himself.”

I would like you to listen to 'Praise looks good on you' song from Don Moen's 'God is good' album. It speaks a lot about how God sees the worship. It is such a good song which carries an awesome essence. I'm giving some of the lines from it below.

You bring your sacrifices and you offer up your praise

You lift your voice with singing, but your heart seems far away.

More than a sacrifice, I'm looking for your heart

Holy and acceptable and pleasing in my sight

So offer up your life, holy and acceptable,

A willing sacrifice, precious in My sight

But in all that you do, remember all I want is you.

We may make eloquent sermons and recite melodious music about the Word of God. But they are meaningless if we do not personally know and experience the loving Lord who composed those words for the world. There are different forms of music. But what makes it melodious is the simple hymn in a humble heart. Words overflowing from a heart filled with the love of God have the power to transform even hardened hearts.

Incredible kindness!

Do not neglect doing good and sharing; for with such sacrifices God is pleased. Hebrews 13:16  Good morning, friends! He was a seller of second-hand shoes. He seemed to be in his 70’s, and was so tired as nobody was buying his shoes. Then, a little girl came to him saying, " Sir, may I polish your shoes?" The old man took pity on her, smiled and gave her a shoe to polish. The girl said, "I polish the shoe because I need money to buy my brother a new school uniform." The old man replied, "Oh, little girl just stop doing this. Come with me and I will buy a uniform." Then they walked to a store and he bought a uniform. This act of incredible kindness, shown by someone who has so little for himself, proclaims an ultimate truth. The Bible talks a lot about showing kindness. A few sample verses are given below. “Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the f...

Thank you, Lord!!!

He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.   2 Corinthians 12: 9 Below is a small portion of what I read in the book ‘ I’ve got to talk to somebody, God ’ written by ‘ Marjorie Holmes ’. "Oh God, how grateful we should be for color. For blue skies, blue eyes, and for the little blue dress that I am hanging on the line, for the ruby red of cherries, the red on the wood pecker’s throat, for the countless shades of green which carpet the ground and for the lovely yellow so rich and so intense in an egg yolk, a lemon, golden yellow of sunshine, daffodils, for different shades of skin, eyes and hair! How dull it would be Lord to see all the races and all faces looked alike." I never imagined that someone would thank the Lord for the colors. She doesn’t stop there. She thanks the Lord for she got the chance to doing ...

Lazarus' Deliverer

Because He himself suffered when He was tempted, He is able to help those who are being tempted. Hebrews 2:18 Easter is the most special day in the history that gave hope to the mankind! Lazarus, the brother of Martha and Mary was dead four days before Jesus reached Bethany. Jesus loved that family and they loved him as well. He was not there when Lazarus was sick. Lazarus was buried when Jesus reached Bethany. His sisters were weeping. Jesus also wept. They told Jesus, “Lord, if you have been here, Lazarus would not have died.” They moved on to Lazarus’ tomb. There was a stone across the entrance. Surely there was bad odor. Yet, Jesus said, “Take away the stone. If you believed, you would see the glory of God.” He prayed and there came Lazarus alive with his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen and a cloth around his face. Jesus said to them, “Take off the grave clothes and let him go.” God’s love is the same toward everyone! He doesn’t show favoritism. He love...
