Leave it alone!

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all. 1 John 1 : 7

Good morning to you all.

Jimmy (a dog) could hunt quite well in the woods. None of the small animals were safe, once he decided to track them down, that is, not until he met "Mr. Porcupine." His strength, his fierce growl and his great hunting ability didn't do him one bit of good when he met the porcupine. Since he had never seen a porcupine before, he pounced on the porcupine and tried to bite him. The porcupine arched its back so that its quills, which come out easily, stuck not only into his nose, cheeks, chin and paws, they also stuck inside his mouth and even in his throat! Poor!

When his master arrived home, he found Jimmy whimpering in agony and about as sick as any dog could be. His master got a pair of pliers and pulled out as many quills as he could, but the ones in his throat had to be removed by the vet. The poor dog was in pain for at least another week and had to take medicine so the quill punctures wouldn't get infected.

He went after the porcupine again! He didn't attack quite as forcefully as he did the first time, but he still had to go to the animal hospital to have more quills removed and have more medicine. This happened six times before he learned to leave porcupines alone!

We may tell that what Jimmy did was nothing less than stupid. But when we think of ourselves who often fall into the same traps again and again without getting tired, we can very easily arrive at ‘we are more stupid than Jimmy’. We all would have died if our Savior had not come to this world. Only He can save us from all the sins that are very close to us. In my fellowship they often say a line, ‘The sin should become so cheap’. How true it is! Only when we consider it as so cheap, we won’t enter into it again. Else we cannot even count how many times we’ve fallen so far. The one thing I wanted to convey is, ‘Leave the sin alone.’ Let it not have any fellowship with you. Else you’ll have much more punctures, no matter whether you say it is a small sin or a big sin, for the Lord sees every sin as equal.

Incredible kindness!

Do not neglect doing good and sharing; for with such sacrifices God is pleased. Hebrews 13:16  Good morning, friends! He was a seller of second-hand shoes. He seemed to be in his 70’s, and was so tired as nobody was buying his shoes. Then, a little girl came to him saying, " Sir, may I polish your shoes?" The old man took pity on her, smiled and gave her a shoe to polish. The girl said, "I polish the shoe because I need money to buy my brother a new school uniform." The old man replied, "Oh, little girl just stop doing this. Come with me and I will buy a uniform." Then they walked to a store and he bought a uniform. This act of incredible kindness, shown by someone who has so little for himself, proclaims an ultimate truth. The Bible talks a lot about showing kindness. A few sample verses are given below. “Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the f...

Thank you, Lord!!!

He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.   2 Corinthians 12: 9 Below is a small portion of what I read in the book ‘ I’ve got to talk to somebody, God ’ written by ‘ Marjorie Holmes ’. "Oh God, how grateful we should be for color. For blue skies, blue eyes, and for the little blue dress that I am hanging on the line, for the ruby red of cherries, the red on the wood pecker’s throat, for the countless shades of green which carpet the ground and for the lovely yellow so rich and so intense in an egg yolk, a lemon, golden yellow of sunshine, daffodils, for different shades of skin, eyes and hair! How dull it would be Lord to see all the races and all faces looked alike." I never imagined that someone would thank the Lord for the colors. She doesn’t stop there. She thanks the Lord for she got the chance to doing ...

Lazarus' Deliverer

Because He himself suffered when He was tempted, He is able to help those who are being tempted. Hebrews 2:18 Easter is the most special day in the history that gave hope to the mankind! Lazarus, the brother of Martha and Mary was dead four days before Jesus reached Bethany. Jesus loved that family and they loved him as well. He was not there when Lazarus was sick. Lazarus was buried when Jesus reached Bethany. His sisters were weeping. Jesus also wept. They told Jesus, “Lord, if you have been here, Lazarus would not have died.” They moved on to Lazarus’ tomb. There was a stone across the entrance. Surely there was bad odor. Yet, Jesus said, “Take away the stone. If you believed, you would see the glory of God.” He prayed and there came Lazarus alive with his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen and a cloth around his face. Jesus said to them, “Take off the grave clothes and let him go.” God’s love is the same toward everyone! He doesn’t show favoritism. He love...
