Prestige pressure cooker magic!

Before you assume anything from the title of the post, let me tell you that I am not a brand ambassador of Prestige pressure cookers in any way. :) Then why am I speaking about it? Well, the answer is, the Lord has been reminding me about an incident for the past few days and so I wanted to share it with you today.

I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago. I will consider all your works and meditate on all your mighty deeds. Psalm 77 : 11, 12

3 years ago, when I lived with my friends in Chennai, my mom visited us for a few days. She has always been a great help to us. For example, I had a lot of clothes to be washed, and we didn’t have a washing machine. So, after I left for the office, she washed and dried them all. Then, during a holiday, around noon, she was cooking rice for me in a pressure cooker. When it was almost time for the cooker to whistle she had moved a little farther and started arranging my clothes inside a duffel bag. In the meantime she saw the cooker explode. It was not a Prestige pressure cooker. I was very thankful to God that she was not near the cooker when it exploded.  But from that time on, she insisted that I should only buy Prestige pressure cookers and nothing else.

Recently I had an issue with my Prestige pressure cooker, due to some mistakes on my part. So when I bought a new one, I specifically bought a Prestige pressure cooker, as I was reminded about my mom and what happened 3 years back.

This is a very good example of why parents must teach their children of the good things, along with the reason, and should live a life that their children cannot forget until their last breath.

In Psalm 77:11-20, the Psalmist, in spite of the issues he had, remembers what God had done in the past. This helped him overcome them. Remember, God alone is the strength of our heart. No one (Nothing) else can be our strength anytime. If you feel that the job you possess, or the knowledge you have, or even your family is your strength, then it is time for you to erase this from your heart, and let God be your strength. When you do this, you cannot avoid passing the same to others, and especially to your children. Because you cannot resist in passing on the best you have for them no, matter how evil you think you are. Please do not be ignorant of what God is doing in your lives. He is able to use you as a media and will do the same to others too.

May God bless you! Have a blessed day!

Incredible kindness!

Do not neglect doing good and sharing; for with such sacrifices God is pleased. Hebrews 13:16  Good morning, friends! He was a seller of second-hand shoes. He seemed to be in his 70’s, and was so tired as nobody was buying his shoes. Then, a little girl came to him saying, " Sir, may I polish your shoes?" The old man took pity on her, smiled and gave her a shoe to polish. The girl said, "I polish the shoe because I need money to buy my brother a new school uniform." The old man replied, "Oh, little girl just stop doing this. Come with me and I will buy a uniform." Then they walked to a store and he bought a uniform. This act of incredible kindness, shown by someone who has so little for himself, proclaims an ultimate truth. The Bible talks a lot about showing kindness. A few sample verses are given below. “Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the f...

Thank you, Lord!!!

He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.   2 Corinthians 12: 9 Below is a small portion of what I read in the book ‘ I’ve got to talk to somebody, God ’ written by ‘ Marjorie Holmes ’. "Oh God, how grateful we should be for color. For blue skies, blue eyes, and for the little blue dress that I am hanging on the line, for the ruby red of cherries, the red on the wood pecker’s throat, for the countless shades of green which carpet the ground and for the lovely yellow so rich and so intense in an egg yolk, a lemon, golden yellow of sunshine, daffodils, for different shades of skin, eyes and hair! How dull it would be Lord to see all the races and all faces looked alike." I never imagined that someone would thank the Lord for the colors. She doesn’t stop there. She thanks the Lord for she got the chance to doing ...

Lazarus' Deliverer

Because He himself suffered when He was tempted, He is able to help those who are being tempted. Hebrews 2:18 Easter is the most special day in the history that gave hope to the mankind! Lazarus, the brother of Martha and Mary was dead four days before Jesus reached Bethany. Jesus loved that family and they loved him as well. He was not there when Lazarus was sick. Lazarus was buried when Jesus reached Bethany. His sisters were weeping. Jesus also wept. They told Jesus, “Lord, if you have been here, Lazarus would not have died.” They moved on to Lazarus’ tomb. There was a stone across the entrance. Surely there was bad odor. Yet, Jesus said, “Take away the stone. If you believed, you would see the glory of God.” He prayed and there came Lazarus alive with his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen and a cloth around his face. Jesus said to them, “Take off the grave clothes and let him go.” God’s love is the same toward everyone! He doesn’t show favoritism. He love...
