Blessed are those who mourn!

Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Matthew 5 : 4

Good morning, friends. Real life incidents make more sense and they have much effect in our lives. So here comes one today.

Some of you may remember that I was admitted in a hospital when I was in Nashville for 9 hours due to a pain in the abdomen. The Lord kept reminding me saying, “The Egyptian you see today, you will not see it anymore.” That was the only thing that gave me hope in spite of what the doctors told as I didn’t have my mom or dad next to me. It was in March, 2011.

Now it is Sep, 2011. It has been nearly 6 months since then. Doctors told that the pain may come again and if it comes, then I need to go back to them. But as per the Lord’s promise to me, I didn’t face that pain anymore after that day.

Last Saturday, I went to North Mississippi River Park with my Church friends. It was such a wonderful day that we spent there playing lot of games, eating all that we could. J After coming back I had a lot of pain all over the body. Because of heat and other stuffs, I had a severe stomach pain this evening. I was in a great fear that this one shouldn’t be the same pain I had 6 months ago. I am not willing to go to the hospital again for the treatment. When I rolled here and there over the comforter, all I was reminding myself is the promise from the Lord. My roommate and my friend helped me a lot preparing things which can soothe the pain out. I really thank God for them. But again the name I could keep on calling is the Lord’s. ‘Jesus’! Nothing else came out from my mouth. After vomiting, I started sleeping and the pain started subsiding. After I got up, the pain was no more.

Now back to Matthew 5 : 4. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Does that mean we should mourn all the time? Let us just quickly go through few points before I finish.

1.      When things are all going smooth, the Lord’s promises may be forgotten and we may still longing for something that has not come to pass in our lives. At some point of time, there may not be any longing for us to be in His presence.

2.   But when something strikes us so badly, we hurry up to God knowing that He alone can rescue us from evil. We don’t need anyone to remind the promises. We keep saying them again and again, crying out and getting delivered.

Now the question for all of us is, are we worried about others who face lot of struggles in their lives? Are we seriously praying for them? Are we trying to console them? In other words, are we still caring about what they go through? When Nehemiah heard that the city was collapsed, he mourned and prayed. He made the difference in people’s lives.

Can we keep others in our prayers considering they are our own Brothers and Sisters? My friends, when we lost our golden chain, my friends’ care and their prayers for me and family gave us strength and we were recovered faster from that loss. Who knows? There may be someone out there waiting for you to show them the way for their recovery.

Mourn for the right things! Mourn for others! Be a blessing!

Lazarus' Deliverer

Because He himself suffered when He was tempted, He is able to help those who are being tempted. Hebrews 2:18 Easter is the most special day in the history that gave hope to the mankind! Lazarus, the brother of Martha and Mary was dead four days before Jesus reached Bethany. Jesus loved that family and they loved him as well. He was not there when Lazarus was sick. Lazarus was buried when Jesus reached Bethany. His sisters were weeping. Jesus also wept. They told Jesus, “Lord, if you have been here, Lazarus would not have died.” They moved on to Lazarus’ tomb. There was a stone across the entrance. Surely there was bad odor. Yet, Jesus said, “Take away the stone. If you believed, you would see the glory of God.” He prayed and there came Lazarus alive with his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen and a cloth around his face. Jesus said to them, “Take off the grave clothes and let him go.” God’s love is the same toward everyone! He doesn’t show favoritism. He love

Your protective shade!

The LORD Himself watches over you! The LORD stands beside you as your protective shade.  Psalm 121 : 5 I know it has been a very long time since I have sent God’s Word to you. Since this is the first email in 2014, I have been waiting to send you either my personal testimony or one of my friends’ testimonies. I have drafted several emails, but didn’t send anything. Today, I am not able to keep quiet when I think about what God has done for me over last weekend. If it is God’s will I will meet you again with a wonderful testimony of my friend, while I am sending mine to you now. Many of you know a bit about me. I traveled onsite in the year 2010 and returned to India for good in July, 2013. I got married in August, 2013 (this itself is a separate testimony) and started going to office from September, 2013. Since I had my visa valid for 2 more years I had been asked to take up an onsite assignment and was not offered a project at offshore. I had some concerns in traveling o

Be on guard; stay alert!

And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Mark 8 : 36 With all the fun and timeout I had with my husband as we spent about 9 days in Kerala, I had trouble in sleeping last but the previous night because of restless legs. I know it would go if I ate few bananas, but I didn’t get up as I felt lazy. I did whatever I could, to sleep, but I only slept after several hours. I had a dream/vision like never before. It was very scary. Even now I am filled with what I saw that night. I don’t know how I can write about it, but I will try. I am not saying that I am a saint and God showed me this for some reason. But I don’t want to keep it with myself, because if it was from God, then I wanted to tell others. Please bear with me as you read forward. In my dream, I saw myself resting on my Aunt’s lap in the terrace at night. As I looked up while I was speaking, I saw the planet Saturn coming down from the Sky. It was very huge in size as it came down. The
