Who is the greatest?

So in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. Romans 12 : 5 Good morning to you all. One fine day it occurred to the Members of the Body that they were doing all the work and the Belly was having all the food. So they held a meeting, and after a long discussion, decided to strike work till the Belly consented to take its proper share of the work. So for a day or two, the Hands refused to take the food, the Mouth refused to receive it, and the Teeth had no work to do. But after a day or two the Members began to find that they themselves were not in a very active condition: the Hands could hardly move, and the Mouth was all parched and dry, while the Legs were unable to support the rest. So thus they found that even the Belly in its dull quiet way was doing necessary work for the Body, and that all must work together or the Body will go to pieces. The above would have clearly explained the importance of working together. The Bible talks muc...

4:12 AM!

Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation. 2 Corinthians 6 : 2. Good morning to you all. The below is the wonderful story which talks about the salvation and its importance. The school children came to visit the dairy farm of a kind farmer. The farmer had a big sign on the wall which said, “Prepare to meet thy God.” AM 4 : 12. They had many questions about the cows and the farm and also one about the sign. When they asked what the sign implied, the farmer said, “The Lord is coming soon, and we must be ready to meet Him. If we are still in our sins, we will not be ready. But God has sent His beloved Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to die for us on Calvary's cross. If you tell Him you are sorry you've been naughty and want Him to forgive you, you will be saved. Then you will be ready to meet Him when He comes.” Little Johnny went home that afternoon, he told his mother, “I've got to get saved before I go to bed tonight.” “Why do you have to be s...

Better late than never!

For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known. Luke 12:2 Good morning to you all. Mr. Barnes was a very wealthy man. He often noticed a particularly fine herd of cattle. He paid for it with the agreement that the cow would be delivered to his estate the following day. The next day as Mr. Barnes was out for his morning walk he saw a young boy trying his hardest to lead the cow over to Mr. Barnes's field. The boy, who did not know Mr. Barnes, called to him. “Please sir, would you come and help me with this cow? She is so stubborn!” Mr. Barnes went over to help. As they walked along together he asked the boy, “How much do you expect to get for delivering the cow?” The boy stammered, “I don’t know, but I'm sure to get something because the people who are buying the cow live in that house, and those people are very kind to everyone.” By now the stubborn cow was walking along nicely, so Mr. Barnes excused himself and took a pat...

Stay focused!

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. James 1 : 17 Good morning to you all. This is another wonderful story I got from the Internet. General Bradford was definitely an unusual general. He was known far and wide for both his infinite patience and love as well as for His justice and wrath. His soldiers loved him dearly and for good cause. His orders were always good, and he personally found a way to care for each of the soldiers who volunteered for his little band. Michael had recently joined his band, and was now quite anxious to prove himself a good soldier. His first task was to learn to march. “The key to marching is to stay focused and to listen for my commands constantly,” the general explained. “See that distant horizon? Fasten your eyes fifteen degrees above the horizon line. Don’t let them wander to the circumstances or people around you. Keep your eyes focus...

The Forgotten Diamond!

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3 : 16 Good morning to you all. This is a wonderful story I got from the Internet. Ashley whispered in awe and wonder to her father, “Are you really giving this to me?” The thought that her father was giving her this priceless diamond seemed almost too much to comprehend. “Yes, my darling daughter, I am giving you that diamond. Love and cherish it, and keep it ever in your thoughts.” Ashley threw her arms around her father’s neck. How she loved him! She couldn’t imagine life without his love. She guarded the diamond and spent hours gazing upon it, then went and told everyone she knew about her father’s marvelous love. Her heart of gratitude showed in everything she did. She was kind and loving toward others because her thoughts were focused on her father’s kindness to her. She was always eager to serve and praise her father because her thoughts...

The Prayer Killers - Part II

Joshua said, “Ah, Sovereign LORD, why did you ever bring this people across the Jordan to deliver us into the hands of the Amorites to destroy us? If only we had been content to stay on the other side of the Jordan! O Lord, what can I say, now that Israel has been routed by its enemies? The Canaanites and the other people of the country will hear about this and they will surround us and wipe out our name from the earth. What then will you do for your own great name?” Joshua 7 :  7 - 9 Good morning to you all. Today let us see about the next three prayer killers which Joshua 6 and 7 speak about. “But keep away from the devoted things, so that you will not bring about your own destruction by taking any of them. Otherwise you will make the camp of Israel liable to destruction and bring trouble on it. All the silver and gold and the articles of bronze and iron are sacred to the LORD and must go into his treasury.”   Joshua 6 : 18, 19 “Go, consecrate the people. Tell th...

The Prayer Killers - Part I - Unconfessed sins!

The Israelites acted unfaithfully in regard to the devoted things; Achan son of Carmi took some of them. So the Lord’s anger burned against Israel. Joshua sent men from Jericho to Ai, told them, “Go up and spy out the region.” So the men went up and spied out Ai. When they returned to Joshua, they said, “Not all the people will have to go up against Ai. Send two or three thousand men to take it and do not weary all the people, for only a few men are there.” So about three...

Elisha, the sincere follower!

“Let me inherit a double portion of your spirit,” Elisha replied . 2 Kings 2 : 9 Good morning, friends. We’ve recently meditated on the same topic. Previously it was for the study on Elijah. But this time it is for Elisha. When the LORD was about to take Elijah up to heaven in a whirlwind, Elijah and Elisha were on their way from Gilgal. Elijah said to Elisha, “Stay here; the LORD has sent me to Bethel” But Elisha said, “As surely as the LORD lives and as you live, I will not leave you.” So they went down to Bethel. The company of the prophets at Bethel came out to Elisha and asked, “Do you know that the LORD is going to take your master from you today?” “Yes, I know,” Elisha replied, “but do not speak of it.” The same happened when Elijah told Elisha that he was going to Jericho and Jordan. He followed wherever Elijah went. At Jordan, Elijah took his cloak, rolled it up and struck the water with it. The water divided to the right and to the left, and the two of them crossed over...

The call of Elisha!

Elisha set out to follow Elijah and became his attendant. 1 Kings 19 : 21 Good morning to you all. Let us meditate on Elisha for a few days just as we already meditated on his master Elijah. Elijah went from there and found Elisha son of Shaphat. He was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen, and he himself was driving the twelfth pair. Elijah went up to him and threw his cloak around him. Elisha then left his oxen and ran after Elijah. “Let me kiss my father and mother good-bye,” he said, “and then I will come with you.” “Go back,” Elijah replied. “What have I done to you?”  So Elisha left him and went back. He took his yoke of oxen and slaughtered them. He burned the plowing equipment to cook the meat and gave it to the people, and they ate. Then he set out to follow Elijah and became his attendant. The above are just three verses 1 Kings 19 : 19 – 21. But they convey a lot to us. Let us see one by one. If any of you has any other point, kindly do send it to me to my inbox...

Definition of success!

The horse is prepared for the day of battle, but victory belongs to the LORD. Proverbs 21 : 31 Good morning to you all. A young man asked Socrates the secret to success. Socrates told the young man to meet him near the river the next morning. They met. Socrates asked the young man to walk with him toward the river. When the water got up to their neck, Socrates took the young man by surprise and ducked him into the water. The boy struggled to get out but Socrates was strong and kept him there until the boy started turning blue. Socrates pulled his head out of the water and the first thing the young man did was to gasp and take a deep breath of air. Socrates asked, “What did you want the most when you were there?” The boy replied, “Air.” Socrates said, “That is the secret to success. When you want success as badly as you wanted the air, then you will get it.” There is no other secret. How do you define success today? Do you believe that you can do whatever you deeply desire? Do y...

Piano Lessons!

It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name. Psalms 92 : 1 Good morning to you all.  I got an email from the Worship Leader Don Moen sharing his experience. He is the composer of the famous songs like 'Give thanks', 'God will make a way', etc... 'God is good all the time' is yet another familiar song which almost we all know. Read what he says below. When I was a kid growing up in MN, my mother forced me to take piano lessons and I hated it! All of us kids, my older brother, my two younger sisters had to take 6 years of piano lessons. Six years! It seemed like an eternity! Oh gosh did I hate it. I’m sorry to say that I used to pound on the keys and say, “I hate piano!” –my poor mother… However, my mom was unphased and would tell me she’s not counting that as part of my practice time. I had to practice 30 minutes every day and she had the audacity to tell me, “one day you’ll be glad you can play the piano.” Yeah…righ...

The Father with the rod!

He who spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is careful to discipline him. Proverbs 13 : 24 Good morning, friends. Today morning, while washing my dress I found some stains on it. Though I washed each and every area of that dress, I gave more importance to the area where I found stain. I applied more and more washing soap over that area and brushed and brushed that again and again. The other day, when I was boiling the milk, I was very careful to watch it continuously. But when I turned to take my Bible, the milk overflowed and spilled outside.  I got two different messages from the above two incidents. One:   Sometimes though we don’t commit the greater sins like murders, adultery, etc…, we often fall into smaller sins like telling lies just like that. We’ll also justify why we told lies. There is nothing like great sins and small sins. Every sin is equal. Satan is too wicked and he is like a roaring lion in search of a prey. The very next mom...

Elijah taken up to Heaven!

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing. 2 Timothy 4 : 7, 8 Good morning, friends. At Jordan, Elijah took his cloak, rolled it up and struck the wa...

Amazing love towards the unworthy!

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. Mark 12 : 30 Good morning friends. I got an email which has this story. It is really touching. A boy was born to a couple after eleven years of marriage. They were a loving couple and the boy was the gem of their eyes. When the boy was around two years old, one morning the husband saw a medicine bottle open. He was late for office so he asked his wife to cap the bottle and keep it in the cupboard. His wife, preoccupied in the kitchen totally forgot the matter. The boy saw the bottle and playfully went to the bottle fascinated by its color and drank it all. It happened to be a poisonous medicine meant for adults in small dosages. When the child collapsed the mother hurried him to the hospital, where he died. The mother was stunned. She was terrified how to face her husband. When the distraught father came to the hospital and saw the dead child, he looked at his wife and u...

Helping at any cost!

Give, and it shall be given unto you; .....For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again." Luke 6:38 Very Good Morning. I hope many of us are familiar with Mr. Bean(probably in Pogo channel). He is a humorous character, liked by many of us(especially kids). Yesterday while watching his film, I saw one thing which is more funnier of course, but highly thought provoking. Mr. Bean walks along the road. He saw a beggar playing a musical instrument and collecting money from the people. Mr. Bean seas a man giving a coin to the beggar. So he too wishes to give him something. But he doesn't have change. So he thinks for a while and then he takes his hand kerchief and places it on the road and starts dancing. It seems as if the beggar sings and Mr. Bean dances for him. A man comes that way. He saw Mr. Bean dancing so seriously, then he takes some penny and lends it onto Mr. Bean's hand kerchief and goes away. Then Mr. Bean bends and takes ...

Pass it on?!

Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Matthew 5 : 7 Good morning. I know this is a lengthy story. But it means a lot. Please read it. He was tired and aching and on his way home from a long day at work, so he almost didn't see the old lady stranded on the side of the road, but even in the dim light of day he could see she needed help. So he pulled up in front of her Mercedes and got out. His old Pontiac was still sputtering as he approached her. Even with the smile on his face, she was worried. No one had stopped to help for the last hour or so. He didn't look safe; he looked poor and hungry. He could see that she was frightened, standing out there in the cold. He knew how she felt. It was that chill which only fear can put in you. He said, "I'm here to help you, ma'am. Why don't you wait in the car where it's warm? By the way, my name is Bryan Anderson." Well, all she had was a flat tire, but for an old lady, that was bad enoug...

How close I'm to God?

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. Psalms 1:1,2 Every day in the morning, I and a small boy nearer to my home compete with one another. I'll strive hard to start from my home before he start to his school. If I win, I'll just go to his door to tell him, "Roshan, I'm the first". But he will not reply at least once if I win. He'll hide him inside his home without even replying me. But if the reverse happens, he won't allow me to do any work. He'll come before me and shout at me, as if he won the whole world. Today morning he started earlier. My door was not opened. So as usual he shouted happily. Though I didn't see him, I could feel his happiness. Similarly, I could see his anger when I start first, even though he hides his face from me. How is it poss...

Wanna miraculous signs?

The Pharisees came and began to question Jesus. To test him, they asked him for a sign from heaven. He sighed deeply and said, "Why does this generation ask for a miraculous sign? Mark 8 : 11,12 Good morning, friends. Last day, one of my friends working with me has sent me a text message that she has cleared an exam at the very last attempt only by the compassion of the Lord. I in turn have sent her an email saying, 'I praise God for your last attempt, where He proved that He still lives!' Later I reached my room and when I read Mark 8, the Lord made me realize one thing that I've done wrong. If we carefully read all the four gospels from The Bible, we can know that the Pharisees were always around Jesus when He preached the truths, when He healed, when He raised people from the death. Even after knowing everything, they asked for a miraculous sign. Jesus questioned them and left them all and went other side. I really felt ashamed for what I've sent to my frie...

Seek Him first!

I love them that love me: and they that in the morning early watch for me, shall find me. Proverbs 8 : 17 Good morning, friends. I love listening to songs when I am about to sleep. I have lots of Don Moen's songs in my mobile phone and I love hearing them again and again. So by the time I get up in the morning, sufficient charge will not be there in the battery. So as soon as I get up, I've to charge the battery. If I fail or if I feel lazy to do it, I've to do it in my office. Sometimes I forget to bring my charger. Or I won't be able to charge it at all, because of various other reasons. But when I think of client calls, I regret for being lazy. Now-a-days, I don't forget charging the battery in the morning. God reminded me something from it. Proverbs 8 : 17 says, "Those who seek me early in the morning, shall find me". Friends, the Lord clearly says that He needs us in the early morning. He longs for us to come into His presence as soon as we wake up...

Do you believe?

For everyone born of God (child of God) overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. 1 John 5 : 4 Good morning, friends. I read this in a book and found it to be useful. I hope you’ll too. Some years ago, a boy in a small Florida town heard that the Russians were their enemies. He began to wonder about the Russian children, finding it too hard to believe they were his enemies. He wrote a short note: “Dear friend in Russia, I’m seven years old and I believe that we can live in peace. I want to be your friend, not your enemy. Will you be my friend and write back to me?” He closed the letter “Love and Peace” and signed his name. He neatly folded the note, out it into a bottle and threw it into an island lake near his home. Several days later, the bottle and the note were retrieved on a nearby beach. A story about the note appeared in a local newspaper and a wire service picked up the story and sent it nationwide. A group of people from New Hampshi...

Elijah, strengthened by God!

Get up and eat, for the journey is too much for you. 1 Kings 19 : 3 Good morning, friends. Ahab told Jezebel everything Elijah had done and how he had killed all the prophets with the sword. So Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah to say, “May the gods deal with me, be it ever so severely, if by this time tomorrow I do not make your life like that of one of them (the prophets of Baal whom Elijah has slaughtered).” Elijah was afraid and ran for his life. When he came to Beersheba in Judah, he left his servant there, while he himself went a day's journey into the desert. He came to a broom tree, sat down under it and prayed that he might die. “I have had enough, LORD,” he said. “Take my life; I am no better than my ancestors.” Then he lay down under the tree and fell asleep. All at once an angel touched him and said, “Get up and eat.” He looked around, and there by his head was a cake of bread baked over hot coals, and a jar of water. He ate and drank and then lay down again. The ange...

Elijah, the vibrantly praying servant!

The seventh time the servant reported, “A cloud as small as a man's hand is rising from the sea.” 1 Kings 18 : 44 Good morning, friends. Elijah warned the King Ahab and the people for they were not faithful to God and won many souls for God at Mount Carmel. Elijah said to Ahab, “Go, eat and drink, for there is the sound of a heavy rain.” So Ahab went off to eat and drink, but Elijah climbed to the top of Carmel, bent down to the ground and put his face between his knees. “Go and look toward the sea,” he told his servant. And he went up and looked. “There is nothing there,” he said. Seven times Elijah said, “Go back.” The seventh time the servant reported, “A cloud as small as a man's hand is rising from the sea.” So Elijah said, “Go and tell Ahab, ‘Hitch up your chariot and go down before the rain stops you.’” Meanwhile, the sky grew black with clouds, the wind rose, a heavy rain came on and Ahab rode off to Jezreel. We learn a lot from this passage. One: There was no rain...

Elijah, the soul winner!

Elijah went before the people and said, “How long will you waver between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow him; but if Baal is God, follow him.”1 Kings 18 : 21 Good morning, friends. Elijah warned the King Ahab for He was not faithful to God and asked him to call out all the people at Mount Carmel. They all gathered. Elijah went before the people and said, “How long will you waver between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow him; but if Baal is God, follow him.” Then Elijah said, “I am the only one of the LORD's prophets left, but Baal has four hundred and fifty prophets. Get two bulls for us. Let them choose one for themselves, and let them cut it into pieces and put it on the wood but not set fire to it. I will prepare the other bull and put it on the wood but not set fire to it. Then you call on the name of your god, and I will call on the name of the LORD. The god who answers by fire—he is God.” Then all the people said, “What you say is good.” The prophet of Baal ...

Elijah, the troubler of Israel?

When Ahab saw Elijah, he said to him, “Is that you, you troubler of Israel?” 1 Kings 18 : 17 Good morning, friends. Elijah declared that there will be neither dew nor rain in the next few years except at his word.1 Kings 17 : 1 And then there was no rain and Elijah ran to wherever the Lord told him and hid himself from the king Ahab. We saw what happened to Elijah and the widow at Zarephath when there was no rain. 1 Kings 18 : 1 After a long time, in the third year, the word of the LORD came to Elijah: “Go and present yourself to Ahab and I will send rain on the land.” So Elijah went to present himself to Ahab. Elijah met Obadiah who was a devout believer in the LORD and who took a hundred prophets and hid them in two caves. He asked Obadiah to tell Ahab that he was there. Obadiah went to meet Ahab and told him, and Ahab went to meet Elijah. When he saw Elijah, he said to him, “Is that you, you troubler of Israel?” “I have not made trouble for Israel,” Elijah replied. “But you and you...

The true hero of Titanic!

Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. John 15 : 13 Good morning, friends. Please read the below fully, though it’ll take more time. It has much in it. I got this as a forwarded email. It’s too good. I was not able to shorten it further, as I feel it may lose the essence. John Harper was thirteen years old that he received Jesus as the Lord of his life. He got married, God did bless John Harper with a beautiful little girl named Nana. It was the night of April 14, 1912. At 11:40 p.m. on that fateful night, an iceberg scraped the Titanic ship's starboard side, showering the decks with ice and ripping open six watertight compartments. The sea poured in. On board the ship that night was John Harper and his much-beloved six-year-old daughter Nana. According to documented reports, as soon as it was apparent that the ship was going to sink, John Harper immediately took his daughter to a lifeboat. It is reasonable to assume that this preacher could ...
