The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalms 34 : 18
Good morning, friends.
Today after a small prayer at my office, I kept my Bible on the sofa placed outside my ODC and went to drink water. Later I forgot about it and came to my cubicle. After lunch, I came to know that I missed my Bible and I went searching for it. I didn't find it. I asked some of the house keeping people and they directed me to the security guys and they gave me my Bible. They asked me to fill up some details in the 'Lost and Found' register. It had one column 'Worth in Rupees'. I filled 450 INR against that column and came to my place.
Last weekend was a long one as we had a holiday on Monday too. My friends cum roommates went to their hometown and I was left alone for three days. The last day went on practice at my fellowship, but the first two days were very boring to me. I did all the works at my room by myself, but still had plenty of time in my hands. I felt so bad as if I was left alone somewhere. I didn't know what to do, but then I realized that my God is the only one who is available all the time just for me. I wanted to hear from Him. I opened my Bible and started reading Jeremiah as it was the book I'm reading now. I came to know how compassionate my God is!
Though the people of Judah committed sins often and turned their backs to God, He speaks to them often through Jeremiah. He expects them to turn their faces to Him. In Jeremiah 26 : 2, He says, "Tell them everything I command you; do not omit a word. Perhaps they will listen and each will turn from his evil way. Then I will relent and not bring on them the disaster I was planning because of the evil they have done." In Jeremiah 31 : 20 He tells, "Is not Ephraim my dear son, the child in whom I delight? Though I often speak against him, I still remember him. Therefore my heart yearns for him; I have great compassion for him." In Jeremiah 35 : 14, 15, He speaks, "I have spoken to you again and again, yet you have not obeyed me. Again and again I sent all my servants the prophets to you." When He punished them, He grieved. In Jeremiah 42 : 10, He says, "I will build you up and not tear you down; I will plant you and not uproot you, for I am grieved over the disaster I have inflicted on you." This book revealed that such a compassionate God never turns His back when someone calls. "He never rejects the brokenhearted and weary", the Psalmist says. I really got comforted through all His words. And I can boldly say that even when I have no one around me, the Lord is still there waiting to spend His precious time with me. In fact He yearns for me all the time. He is a great and the best friend we can ever have!!!

Now tell me. Can we suggest a price for The Holy Bible through which the Lord speaks to us? It motivates us to pray and place all our burdens to Him. It is invaluable indeed. Isn't it? Just think of how we use it everyday. Are we seeking His words as we seek the precious jewel? Are we lending our ears and opening our hearts as He speaks?
I remember an sms which tells something like this.
