Wanna spread EAFLU? Part V

So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets. Matthew 7 : 12

Good morning, friends. Let us read something about what the letter L means. Listen!!! I’ve shared this incident earlier. But I’m sending this again as this is very much related to our study.

One day while I was waiting for a train, an old man sat next to me. He was to rush to Egmore to catch a train to his native place. He started talking to me. He told about his family in spite of my silence. He told that he was working in a foreign country to earn lots and lots of money. He spent some 50000 to 100000 rupees to visit India once in a year. After getting the satisfaction of earning money, he returned to India to spend the rest of his years with his lovable family. He invested his money in share market which he earned after so many years of hard work, that too in a foreign country where he survived without his family. Soon the profit went down and he lost almost all his money. And he told that he was feeling a lot for he had left his family to earn money which went away in vain. He too told that he didn't even spend a little of his huge amount. He believed that his son would help him restore things back to normal. But that too didn’t happen. Bla bla… And then we saw a train coming over there and I left him and came.

He didn't know me before. I didn't start the conversation even. But by keeping all the worries within himself, he needed a person to lend his/her ears for his burdens. He wanted to share his pains with someone. He definitely knew that I would never be able to help him out, but he shared that to me. Whether you realize this or not, we all want to be listened by others. I’ve heard people saying, “Sharing the burden with others give them a little relief.” My mom and dad are too far from IT world. They don’t know anything related to software. But still, whenever I’m depressed, I’ll call them and tell everything to them both. I know that they are not able to understand in depth about what I’m talking, but I’m pretty much sure that they care for me. The next moment I disconnect the call, I know that they’ll kneel down to the Lord to pray for me.

When we want others to listen to us, then definitely we’ve to listen to them. Mere listening will never help them. We’ve to pray for them. We should have a burden for them. Only the Lord can take away their pains and give the rest to them. Your job is to lead them to Christ.

Jesus tells, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28. Joyce Meyer tells, “When you’re depressed, run to the throne of our King of kings and not to the phone.

Though you want others to listen to you, don’t depend on them. We don't even know whether the person is interested to hear all our stories or not. But we want them to. They too may not be in a good mood to hear you always. We should never expect anyone to hear us always. They too have their own worries. Friend, His arms are wide opened and He calls us all to Him. And He too promised us that He would give rest which we need. Is there anyone who could give the rest? No. Certainly not. No one could give a secured rest as Jesus gives.

Lazarus' Deliverer

Because He himself suffered when He was tempted, He is able to help those who are being tempted. Hebrews 2:18 Easter is the most special day in the history that gave hope to the mankind! Lazarus, the brother of Martha and Mary was dead four days before Jesus reached Bethany. Jesus loved that family and they loved him as well. He was not there when Lazarus was sick. Lazarus was buried when Jesus reached Bethany. His sisters were weeping. Jesus also wept. They told Jesus, “Lord, if you have been here, Lazarus would not have died.” They moved on to Lazarus’ tomb. There was a stone across the entrance. Surely there was bad odor. Yet, Jesus said, “Take away the stone. If you believed, you would see the glory of God.” He prayed and there came Lazarus alive with his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen and a cloth around his face. Jesus said to them, “Take off the grave clothes and let him go.” God’s love is the same toward everyone! He doesn’t show favoritism. He love

Your protective shade!

The LORD Himself watches over you! The LORD stands beside you as your protective shade.  Psalm 121 : 5 I know it has been a very long time since I have sent God’s Word to you. Since this is the first email in 2014, I have been waiting to send you either my personal testimony or one of my friends’ testimonies. I have drafted several emails, but didn’t send anything. Today, I am not able to keep quiet when I think about what God has done for me over last weekend. If it is God’s will I will meet you again with a wonderful testimony of my friend, while I am sending mine to you now. Many of you know a bit about me. I traveled onsite in the year 2010 and returned to India for good in July, 2013. I got married in August, 2013 (this itself is a separate testimony) and started going to office from September, 2013. Since I had my visa valid for 2 more years I had been asked to take up an onsite assignment and was not offered a project at offshore. I had some concerns in traveling o

If You want, I will!

"I am the Lord's servant," Mary answered. "Be it unto me according to Your Word." Luke 1: 38 Good morning! Yesterday early in the morning when I was getting ready to go to office, I heard my husband speaking to me with a thin voice and to hear him better I went close to him without expecting him to wave his hand (without knowing that I went close to him) over my face with his nails on. A portion of skin under my eyes was peeled off. Since it was near the infraorbital furrow, it is not visible outside. But it is painful. This incident has nothing to do with the message today, except this reminded me of all the hurting moments (not physical hurts, but emotional) I experienced in my life thus far because of the ones I trusted and I didn’t reciprocate, I felt like I have been sacrificing so much for nothing, to the point that, those who hurt me didn’t even know that they did. As I think too much about it, it is painful. But I believe everyone who trust
