Holding hands!

Do not fear, for I am with you; do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.  Isaiah 41 : 10

Good morning.

Recently, a little boy became very close to me and started spending a lot of his time with me when I lived at his house. He wants to watch videos of ‘Lightning McQueen’, ‘Angry Birds’, ‘Thomas the train and his friends’ etc… on YouTube. He also plays some online games which are very interactive. He listens to every single instruction or dialogue. And it’s no surprise that he is super smart. :) When I was waiting to move to another location for my next assignment, I stayed home most of the time.

One morning when I got up he came to my room and wanted me to show him some ‘Peppa pig’ videos. I liked the plan, or I should say that I had to like whatever he tells me. ;) We started watching the videos one after the other and this went on for more than 2.5 hours. You know how he made me sit with him and watch whatever he wanted to watch? He held both of my hands the whole time. And I can never say ‘No’ to a child. He also checked frequently to see if I was watching the videos or not. He didn’t allow me to chat with my friends online or even check any emails. I was completely in his control until his mom asked him to leave me for a while. J I enjoyed being with him watching all those Peppa pigs episodes. :)

What I wanted to convey is, the essence of holding hands, and what holding hands mean in relationships. In the Bible, there are many verses that tell us that God holds us by His hands.

Examples: Isaiah 41:10, Isaiah 41:13, Psalm 63:8, Psalm 73:23

I browsed and found the following on the Internet.

Holding hands means:
·         Giving feelings of comfort, protection and safety
·         Conveying ‘I love you’ or ‘I like you’ without using words
·         Intensifying the feeling you have toward the other
·         Saying ‘You’re accepted’/ ‘you belong to me’
·         Sign of ownership and domination
And a lot more for romantic relationships.

So our Almighty God holds us by His hands to protect us, to reassure that He loves us and that we belong to Him, and also saying that He is supposed to take the lead, not us. When we make Him lead us in all our ways, He will make our ways prosper, because He is the one who leads us and executes His plans in our lives. Our plans and desires may fail, but His’ will never! And we know that His plans are the best!  So, the next time when you hold hands with someone, remember God holds your hands! :)

Have a great day!

Your protective shade!

The LORD Himself watches over you! The LORD stands beside you as your protective shade.  Psalm 121 : 5 I know it has been a very long time since I have sent God’s Word to you. Since this is the first email in 2014, I have been waiting to send you either my personal testimony or one of my friends’ testimonies. I have drafted several emails, but didn’t send anything. Today, I am not able to keep quiet when I think about what God has done for me over last weekend. If it is God’s will I will meet you again with a wonderful testimony of my friend, while I am sending mine to you now. Many of you know a bit about me. I traveled onsite in the year 2010 and returned to India for good in July, 2013. I got married in August, 2013 (this itself is a separate testimony) and started going to office from September, 2013. Since I had my visa valid for 2 more years I had been asked to take up an onsite assignment and was not offered a project at offshore. I had some concerns in traveli...

Lazarus' Deliverer

Because He himself suffered when He was tempted, He is able to help those who are being tempted. Hebrews 2:18 Easter is the most special day in the history that gave hope to the mankind! Lazarus, the brother of Martha and Mary was dead four days before Jesus reached Bethany. Jesus loved that family and they loved him as well. He was not there when Lazarus was sick. Lazarus was buried when Jesus reached Bethany. His sisters were weeping. Jesus also wept. They told Jesus, “Lord, if you have been here, Lazarus would not have died.” They moved on to Lazarus’ tomb. There was a stone across the entrance. Surely there was bad odor. Yet, Jesus said, “Take away the stone. If you believed, you would see the glory of God.” He prayed and there came Lazarus alive with his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen and a cloth around his face. Jesus said to them, “Take off the grave clothes and let him go.” God’s love is the same toward everyone! He doesn’t show favoritism. He love...

Jehovah Jireh!!

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.   Proverbs 3:5-6 Good morning, friends! I'm here with a testimony. After returning from office, I was searching for my personal laptop at my house and I didn't find it for a while. Here the maintenance people can come in anytime even when we're not present. But they are trustworthy. So I didn't worry because I knew that I should have misplaced it today. Then I realized how much I'm trusting even the people whom I have never known before.  Many times I worry too much about what will happen to me in the future. But Bible asks me not to lean on my own understanding. I know I will first try out all the possible ways on my own strength before leaning on the Lord. When everything fails me, as I have no other go, I would submit myself and my cares on Him. It was just a day before I started from Nashville I got a confirm...
