Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. Proverbs 3 : 5
Good morning!
This is our Pastor’s message this past Sunday from Mark 16:1-7. I loved it and wanted to share it with you in three parts. Below is the first part.
When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices so that they might go to anoint Jesus’ body. Very early on the first day of the week, just after sunrise, they were on their way to the tomb and they asked each other, “Who will roll the stone away from the entrance of the tomb?” But when they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had been rolled away. Mark 16:1-4
With great purpose in their hands (to anoint Jesus’ body), questions in their minds (They knew that the stone at the tomb’s entrance was big and they could not roll it away to enter into it. They asked themselves who would roll the stone away for them) and no answers to their questions, they didn’t quit. They kept on walking. But they were surprised when they saw that the stone was already rolled away.
These women walked until they arrived at tomb. They didn’t give up on their way. Because they didn’t give up, they were able to see that the stone had been rolled away for them.
Do you remember what happened when Moses sent twelve men to Canaan? All the twelve saw both the wealth as well as the giants, but only Joshua and Caleb came back with good news that the Israelites could go and capture the land, whereas the other ten came back with words of discouragement as they had questions and fear on how to defeat those giants. Only two men ignored the questions that they had. Listen, you may not have all the answers to your questions. But don’t quit. Just walk forward in faith because your God has all the answers. The Lord will honor your faith.
God cares about every single detail of your life. The Bible says that the Lord knows what you need even before you know you need it. Are you worrying about something today? Don’t lose hope. You’re there. Our Risen Lord is Big! He can do great things for you in your life. March on.
Trust Him when you don’t know what the future holds for you. You don’t know what the future holds for you, but you know that your God holds your future. He has plans to prosper you & not to harm you. He saved you for a purpose. Whatever God has called you to do, do it; He will give you the strength to finish what you started, by faith.
