Unfailing Love!

Turn, LORD, and deliver me; save me because of Your unfailing love. Psalms 6 : 4

Good morning, friends! Yesterday we read about the ‘Sustaining grace’ of the Lord. Today let us meditate about another nature of God. It is His ‘Unfailing love’.

King David says in Psalms 7 : 8, “Vindicate me, LORD, according to my righteousness,  according to my integrity, O Most High.” I remember Michael Wiebe, a missionary in Campus Crusade speaking about King David. He told that David was a great King, yet he was also an ordinary man. Why? It is very simple. He has committed adultery with Bathsheba. He has murdered her husband by planning wicked schemes. Yet he remained the man of God’s own heart! How is that even possible?

My fellowship leader in one of his sermons told that even though he sinned, as soon as he was convicted by the Lord through Nathan, he immediately turned back to God. He confessed his sins and he didn’t remain in his sinful nature. He learnt a good lesson from the Lord after which he didn’t go back to the sin! He implicitly taught us all what salvation is all about.

We’re the born sinners. We live in our fleshy desires and thoughts. But when the Lord convicts us we turn to Him and choose Him as our personal savior and we don’t go back to the sin again. This is what we call as salvation.

David was son confident that he didn’t do anything against the Lord or to anyone and so he was able to pray, “Lord, vindicate me according to my righteousness.” Can you & I say that? Are we having clean hearts and hands? Are we remaining in the Lord’s salvation all the times? If we go back to the old pits, will the Lord leave us unattended? Cheer up! This is for you. The answer is a big ‘No’.

Lord’s unfailing love will not be diminished even though we are unfaithful to Him. He will come & rescue us. Are you not experiencing the intimate relationship with Him before? Are you falling down from the very first love you had on Him? Does the devil remind you of your old sins again & again? Pray the prayer of David! “Save me because of Your unfailing love!” He knew the secret & he came back to God immediately. You also can always rely on God’s unfailing love. He is always ready to cleanse you & save you from all your sins. Are you ready today to come back to Him trusting His unfailing love?

Incredible kindness!

Do not neglect doing good and sharing; for with such sacrifices God is pleased. Hebrews 13:16  Good morning, friends! He was a seller of second-hand shoes. He seemed to be in his 70’s, and was so tired as nobody was buying his shoes. Then, a little girl came to him saying, " Sir, may I polish your shoes?" The old man took pity on her, smiled and gave her a shoe to polish. The girl said, "I polish the shoe because I need money to buy my brother a new school uniform." The old man replied, "Oh, little girl just stop doing this. Come with me and I will buy a uniform." Then they walked to a store and he bought a uniform. This act of incredible kindness, shown by someone who has so little for himself, proclaims an ultimate truth. The Bible talks a lot about showing kindness. A few sample verses are given below. “Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the f...

Lazarus' Deliverer

Because He himself suffered when He was tempted, He is able to help those who are being tempted. Hebrews 2:18 Easter is the most special day in the history that gave hope to the mankind! Lazarus, the brother of Martha and Mary was dead four days before Jesus reached Bethany. Jesus loved that family and they loved him as well. He was not there when Lazarus was sick. Lazarus was buried when Jesus reached Bethany. His sisters were weeping. Jesus also wept. They told Jesus, “Lord, if you have been here, Lazarus would not have died.” They moved on to Lazarus’ tomb. There was a stone across the entrance. Surely there was bad odor. Yet, Jesus said, “Take away the stone. If you believed, you would see the glory of God.” He prayed and there came Lazarus alive with his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen and a cloth around his face. Jesus said to them, “Take off the grave clothes and let him go.” God’s love is the same toward everyone! He doesn’t show favoritism. He love...

Confusing gospel

I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned! As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned! Galatians 1 : 6 – 9 Good morning, friends. Today let us see about something which I heard from a pastor on Sunday. And kindly please read even though it’s long. We all should be aware of it certainly. Before that, here comes a funny incident. After a worship service at Church, a mother with a fidgety seven-year-old boy told me how she finally got her son to sit still and be quiet. About halfway through the sermon, she leaned over and whisper...
